The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has published Drug Safety Update Issue 7 (PDF).
This issue includes the following drug safety advice articles:
- Statins: class effects identified
- Varenicline: safety update
- Carisoprodol and meprobamate: risks outweigh benefits
In addition, this issue contains stop press reminders about the withdrawal of dydrogesterone (Duphaston/Duphaston HRT®) for commercial reasons and the new contraindications and warnings added to the prescribing information for rosiglitazone.
