Quit Kits

The NHS has made a limited number of Quit Kits available through some high street pharmacies with the aim of kick starting New Year quit attempts.

The kits are available from the following participating pharmacies:

  • Co-operative
  • Whitworth
  • Sainsbury
  • Tesco
  • Manichem

The kit contains a week's free trial of nicotine replacement (NRT) patches and supportive information and practical tools to aid the quit attempt. Thousands of these kits have been distributed throughout England but will only be available while stocks last.

Action: Clinicians should be aware of the availability of these kits. Patients who express a motivation to stop smoking could be directed to a local participating pharmacy in order to access the support materials.
